Plastic pipe
PVC pipe manufacturing ERP software
ERP for PVC and uPVC pipe manufacturers that controls compound formulations, extruder output and weight per metre, records batch test results and runs distributor orders and dispatch from the same stock.

What is PVC pipe ERP software?
PVC pipe ERP software is business software built around how a pipe plant runs. Formezy issues the compound formulation for each mixer batch and books the actual weights of resin, stabiliser, filler and additives, logs extruder output and stoppages per shift, compares actual weight per metre with the standard for each size and class, holds batches until tests pass, and serves distributors from live bundle-wise stock.
Margin is decided by weight per metre
In pipe manufacturing, material is most of the cost, and every size and pressure class has a standard weight per metre. A line running even slightly over-weight gives material away on every metre; a line running under-weight risks failing tests and losing customers.
Formezy records the standard weight per metre for each size and class, and the actual weight measured during production, so over-weight running is visible per line and shift while it can still be corrected.
Formulation and compounding
PVC compound is made in batches from resin, stabiliser, filler, lubricants and pigment, usually measured in parts per hundred of resin. Formezy keeps each formulation as a recipe, issues it with the mixer batch, and books the actual weight of every ingredient against the lots used.
- Formulations with versions and approvals
- Batch-wise consumption against material lots
- Compound cost per batch from actual weights
- Variance between standard and actual consumption
Extrusion, cutting and socketing
Extruder output in kilograms per hour, line speed and stoppages with their reasons are logged per shift, either from the machine through IoT or by the supervisor on mobile. Pipes are printed with size, class and batch, cut to length and belled or socketed, and lengths and weights are booked as production.
Batch testing and holds
Dimension checks and tests such as hydrostatic pressure, as required by the standard the pipe is made to (for example IS 4985 for uPVC water pipes in India), are recorded per production batch against the parameters for that product. Batches are held until they pass, and failed pipes are booked to regrind, so only approved stock is offered for dispatch.
Distributors, stock and dispatch
Pipes are bundled by size and class and stocked bundle-wise with their batch. Distributor and dealer orders, schemes and dispatches run on the same stock in the CRM and Sales module, so the plant and the sales team see the same numbers, and test documents can go out with each load.
Planning by size and class
Pipe plants run many sizes and pressure classes on a few lines, and every size change costs start-up material and time. Formezy shows open orders and stock by size and class, so production can group orders into longer runs and plan size changes in a sensible sequence.
Because output, stoppages and start-up waste are recorded per run, the cost of each size change becomes visible, and planners can see when a longer run is cheaper than an extra change.

Questions
PVC pipe ERP: common questions
Still have a question?
Talk to a plastic ERP specialist about your own plant and process route.
Can Formezy control weight per metre in PVC pipe production?
Yes. The standard weight per metre is set for each size and class, actual weights are recorded during production, and over-weight pipe and the extra material it uses are visible per line and shift.
How are PVC compound formulations managed?
Each formulation lists its ingredients and quantities. Every mixer batch is issued with the formulation and booked against the material lots used, so consumption and cost per batch come from actual weights.
Can it record pipe test results per batch?
Yes. Dimension, pressure and other test results are recorded per production batch against the parameters for that product, and batches can be held until they pass.
Does it support CPVC, HDPE pipes and fittings too?
Yes. HDPE pipes and coils, CPVC pipes and injection-molded fittings have their own process flows and run in the same system.
Can distributors' orders be managed in Formezy?
Yes. Distributor orders, stock, dispatches and payments are managed in the CRM and Sales module, with performance reports by distributor.
